Data Gaps and Dirty Skies
Global Disparities in Air Quality Monitoring
An investigation and overview of the inequality in air quality monitoring around the world. This team created a blog post with several maps comparing air quality with the available monitoring technology in certain regions of the world. They also used the Conyers, Georgia lab fire from 2024 as a case study and a way to ground concepts of global inequity in their local community. Lastly, the team explored how to build awareness and provide action steps around the issue by making a set of cards to be posted on social media.
