BioLab Fire and Climate Change

Join the Emory Climate Hub for our first event of 2026. You will hear from Dr. L. Gregory Huey is a Professor in the School of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences at Georgia Institute of Technology. Dr. Huey and his team conducted a rapid-response study of the September 2024 BioLab chemical facility fire in Conyers, Georgia. At this special event, he will share more about the process, his findings, and the implications this work has for industrial safety regulations and emergency response protocols.
